String Theory
Learn the basics of foundation piecing while clearing out your scrap bin. This is a good way to use selvages and other scraps. The whole quilt will not be made in this class. You will learn and complete up to 4 pieces which will then be put together.
Supplies:
Sewing machine in good working order
Thread - cotton 50 wt (neutral color)
Needle - 75 or 80 universal
Scrap strips varying from 3/4" to 4" width (any length- multiple lengths)
Background fabric: 3 yds
Scissors
Personal iron/personal pressing mat
Best press
Personal cutting mat
1x12" to 2.5x12"
Personal rotary cutter
(Personal supplies should be small enough to have next to your sewing station - 12"x12" cutting/pressing mat - this mat is combined.)
Fabric marking tool (mechanical pencil is preferred)
