Winter Retreat:  Blanket me in Stitches

Retreat Schedule:
     Arrival:  Thursday, Feb 25th 3pm (First meal dinner @5:30 - 6pm)
     Departure:  Sunday, Feb 28th 3pm (last meal - lunch @ noon)    
(in case of bad weather, our back-up dates are:      March 3-6)

Lodgings: You will have your own sewing table and "plump" chair, own bed, pillow, bedding & towels. We will have 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms, 2 "Living" areas, 2 TV areas, lots of scenery and fresh air!  Iron & Cutting stations are all set up in the center.  No need to bring your own.  However, we encourage small iron and cutting board for your table.

Retreat center and one of the beautiful views!  This retreat center is near Livermore Colorado (about 45 min. north of Fort Collins, 15 minutes from RedFeather Lakes).

Beds - Most beds are large twins (very comfortable, I might add!)  There are 3 queen beds.

Living Spaces/Workrooms


Projects:  During our winter retreat, we will only have 2 projects.  One quilt with applique, so you can learn different applique methods and use a variety of decorative stitches.  A smaller project, hand-towel applique will be your gift for signing up before February 1st!

Both classes are free, however, you will need to purchase your supplies.  All supplies for the retreat classes are 20% OFF.

Bring your own projects or do the quilt class.  Be ready for some fun daily....

Supply list for FLOWER POWER:

• Pattern (available at the store) Reg. price $19
• Fabric for quilt:

o   1/3 yd of 5 aqua background fabrics varying in value from very light to very dark
o   2.  A Fat quarter of each of the following solids :
o   the very lightest aqua
o   the very darkest aqua
o   light orange
o   medium orange
o   yellow
o   light pink
o   medium pink
o   dark pink
o   very light green
o   light green
o   medium green
o   dark green

• 1 yard white or white-on-white
• Border - 1/4 yard "Cactus"
• Binding - 1/2 yard "Cactus"
• 50 wt cotton piecing thread
• 75 universal needle
• 30 or 40 wt decorative rayon or polyester threads for applique - your choice of colors
• 2 yards steam-a-seam light or other lightweight fusible web.
• Tear-away stabilizer (enough to put under every applique)
• Best press
• Iron
• Rotary cutting tools
• Sewing machine with decorative stitches in good working order
• Scissors
• Pencil

Supplies for "Monogrammed" or "Embroidered" Decorative Towel (free Towel, fat quarter and class if signed up before Feb 1st)

• Towel (free if retreat paid for before Feb 1st - pick up your choice from the store)
• 1 Fat Quarter applique fabric (free if retreat paid for before Feb 1st - pick up your choice from the store)
• 1 spool coordinating thread (from your thread collection)
• Stabilizer - provided
• Decorative threads will be provided in case you want to embroider your towel or do any special decorative stitching.

Cancellation policy:  If the weather permits us from going up to the retreat center, we will re-schedule the retreat for the following weekend Mar 3 - 7. If at any time you wish to cancel up to 72 hours prior to the event, please contact Melissa directly.  A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from your retreat refund. 72 hours before the retreat, you are responsible for the entire fee as we will have purchased all food and other items on your behalf.
