Jelly Turnover Quilt
This quilt comes together like peanut and jelly --hence its name, the Jelly Turnover Quilt.
It can be done with pre-cuts and is easy even though it looks difficult. Try it as a follow-up to beginning quilting...or just because it's a wonderful quilt.
Supplies
- Sewing machine in good working order
- 1/4" piecing foot with or without guide (recommended)
- regular piecing foot
- Fabric pen or pencil
- Straight pins and/or quilting pins (optional)
- wonder clips (recommended)
- Matching Thread 40 or 50 weight
- 75 universal machine needle
Fabric
- One packages of 5″ squares. This quilt uses 40 print squares.
- One package of 5″ solid squares. This quilt uses 40 solid squares.
- Three packages of 2 1/2″ squares for the gem stone corners on the sashing. This quilt uses 99 squares.
- One 2 1/2″ jelly roll for the sashing This quilt uses 23 strips.
- One yard solid fabric for the binding.
