Beginning Quilting 102: Everything Triangles

Supplies:
Sewing machine in good working order
scissors
thread snips
rotary cutter, ruler & mat
pressing surface & iron
best press or flatter (spray starch alternatives)
thread (neutral to match fabric)
1/4" piecing foot (optional but recommended)
stilletto
wash-away marking pen or pencil
9 1/2" Bloc Loc square up ruler
Fabric:
Small Lap (54" x 63") - Using a Layer Cake
Twenty-one 10" squares light
Twenty-one 10" squares dark
Lap (approximately 63" x 72") 56 squares
Seven 10" strips = 28 light
Seven 10" strips = 28 dark
Twin (approximately 72"x 81") 72 squares
Nine 10" strips = 36 light
Nine 10" strips = 36 dark
Double (approximately 81"x 90") 90 squares
Twelve 10" strips = 45 light
Twelve 10" strips = 45 dark
Queen (approximately 99" x 108") 132 squares
Seventeen 10" strips = 66 light
Seventeen 10" strips = 66 dark
King (approximately 117" x 117") 169 squares
Twenty-two 10" strips = 85 light
Twenty-two 10" strips = 85 dark
It is not necessary to wash fabric prior to class unless you are concerned about colors bleeding or fabric shrinkage. Good quality quilting fabric (such as the fabric in our store) does not need to be washed prior to use.
**Please make sure fabric is ironed flat (you might want to hang it on an hanger or wrap around a pool noodle and bring it to class that way.)
Quilting and binding techniques not included in this class.
