Yes, this is a big tote so keep in mind what you are going to use it for, i.e. a diaper bag, a travel bag, a beach bag, etc. The goal is to walk away with a one-of-a kind tote.
Supplies:
- Pattern required – Janet’s Tote by Totes by Sandy
- Sewing machine with ¼ inch foot
- 80 or 90 size needle
- Basic Sewing kit (scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc)
- 24 inch ruler & 12 inch ruler
- rotary cutter with a good blade.
- Fabrics: Yes, this is a big tote so keep in mind what you are going to use it for ie. A diaper bag, a travel bag, a beach bag, etc. 1yard each of three coordinating colors. We’ll mix and match for the inside pockets, the outside pockets, the flap, etc. If you want to “fussy cut” anything on the front flap you might want a little extra of the focus fabric.
- Pellon 987 Fusible fleece, 2 yards OR Soft and Stable and 1 yard of Pellon 987F
- Pellon 71F – you will only need a piece 7 1/2 inches X 17 inches.
- Magnetic closure: ¾ in invisible magnet or a regular ¾ inch magnetic (This is optional)
- 10 inches of 1 ½ inch elastic (also optional)
- Buttons or embellishments for the flap
- 12" of 1" or 1 1/2" elastic can be used for the
- Bring your own iron if possible.
