Art Quilt Workshop: Working with Impressionist Stained Glass

Start with a design, rough it up a bit, create the pattern, place the pieces and quilt in such a unique way! What a wonderful top to make and then use at home to practice free motion thread painting!

Supplies:

Sewing machine in good working order
scissors
thread
ruler
safety pins
2" masking tape
black thin tip marker
1 yd black cotton (background, binding and backing)
Batiks fat quarters for flowers. Quantity needed will depend on which pattern you choose so bring all you have. i.e. - for poppies need 4 different shades of oranges/reds)
Steam-a-seam wide - 1 yd of 12" wide or 1 yd fusible web
16x23" piece batting
