Cross-Stitch in the hoop Workshop




Supplies:
  • Embroidery machine in good working order
  • Hoop - minimum 120x120 size (any larger hoop will do as well.) 
    • Lemon threads: - we will be using 40 weight rayon Robison Anton thread (listed below) with regular bobbin fill. 
    • Needle:  Regular Embroidery 75
    • Lightweight "flower-sack toweling".  You can find large packs of these at Sams Club
    • "fusible tear-away" stabilizer for the hoop (Totally stable stabilizer is available.)
    • Flower threads - instead of rayon thread, we will be using heavier cotton thread.  Find colors in your collection of Sulky 12 wt cotton that are close to the colors below.  Regular bobbin fill be used. 
    • Needle:   Topstitch 90 needle.
    • Fabric:  Thick-grained Linen.  Cut it the size of something you would like to make (fingertip towel, cushion, sachet, hanging pillow are some ideas)
    • Cherries thread - we will be using 40 weight rayon Robison Anton thread (listed below) with regular bobbin fill. 
    • Needle:  Regular Embroidery 75. 
    • Fabric:  Enough lightweight Linen to make a finger-tip towel, size of your choosing. 
    • "fusible tear-away" stabilizer for the hoop (Totally stable stabilizer is available.)
