Postage Stamp Quilting

Postage Stamp Quilting - the fast way!!!

Create a quilt from any counted cross-stitch pattern. This technique uses fabric squares to "paint" a mosaic picture.  Two options are available - Rose or Pansy.  The Pansy option is more difficult (contains 1/2 square triangles) but both are fun and fairly quick.

Supplies:

Basic Sewing machine and supplies
Piecing thread
Rotary cutter, ruler and mat (preferably 6x24" ruler)
Pansy Pattern (required pattern to do the pansy postage stamp quilt)
scissors
pins
thread snips
Frixion Marker
Iron-on grid
Die-cutting machine is optional, but fun and quicker
Fabric:
      Rose Fabric:
5 shades of pink (1= pale, 5= darkest)
                 color #1 - 1/2 yard
                 colors #2-#5 - 1/4 yard each
                 light green - 1/4 yard
                 dark green - 1/4 yard
                 white - 1 yard
                 Fabric for borders (optional)
                        stop border (1") - 1/4 yard
                        Outer border (5") - 1/2 yard
      Pansy Fabric
