50” x 58” Using 5” squares
Supplies:
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Power cord
- Foot control
- General sewing machine accessories
- ¼” foot recommended
- Scissors, thread snips, seam ripper
- Rotary cutter (with new blade), ruler and personal cutting mat
o A rotating cutting mat really helps when trimming blocks
- Small iron and personal pressing mat
- 50 weight thread to match fabric
- NEW 75 universal needle
- Pattern – Will be supplied at first class
- Fabric:
o 120 - 5” squares of assorted colors, ( a mixture of lights and darks)
o Of the 120 squares - 2 to 4 squares of the same fabric
o ¼ yard dark fabric for inner border
o 1 ¼ yd contrasting fabric for outer border and binding
o 3 yd backing
- 4 ½ “ block ruler
Class will be in 2 – 4 hour sections
1st section - will be making the blocks
2nd section – assembly and borders
