Learn the basics of clothing construction by picking the proper fabrics for a basic pattern. Learn to read, sew and complete a pair of lounge pants.
Either pant can be done with elastic or drawstring.
Supplies:
- Tape measure (take measurements in class for pant sizing)
- Pattern to be supplied at class (you will copy onto pattern ease the size that fits you according to the sizing chart) - please specify size when signing up so you can receive your pattern and select fabric yardage according to the size needed.
- 2 yards pattern-ease
- fabric as indicated on pattern instructions
- sewing machine in good working order
- elastic 1" wide x waist measurement + 6" or drawstring (waist measurement x2)
- thread to match fabric
- scissors
- pins
- thread snips
- Needle : universal 80/12
- marking pen (wash-away)
