Kimberbell Class pillow general directions
Supplies:
- Embroidery machine in good working order
- No show mesh stabilizer
- New needle (80/12 Microtex – my new favorite!)
- Embroidery thread (matching fabric colors)
- Several full bobbins
- Duckbill scissors for trimming
- Small scissors or snips
- Rotary cutter with ruler (we have mats)
- Fabric glue stick and Kimberbell tape
- Fabric for blocks and borders
- Kimberbell Embellishment kit
Before coming to class, download your design to your stick and print out the pages of instruction
First class: constructing the main blocks: our goal is to have block fabric rectangles all cut, applique pieces cut and complete at least 1 block. Your home work is the finish the rest of the blocks.
Second class: constructing and completing the borders and attaching them. We will also be constructing the pillow back. We will talk about quilting your top.
Third class: stitching the pillow back to the front (after you have quilted the top) and adding the lights!
(after making several!! of these pillows, I have learned several tricks to make this easier!)
