Kids Can Sew by machine - making a decorative rag quilt with Jo

Let's make a rag-quilt from flannel with a sewing machine!  

This class is a machine-sewing class, learning how to thread the machine, make bobbins, pick decorative stitches, sew blocks together and make a fun rag -quilt!   Let's see what you can create!

Students will learn to master sewing with a sewing machine.  This project will include:  Picking flannel for their blocks, designing each block with decorative stitches, learning to thread the machine, make bobbins, join blocks, cut "rag" edge & fluff the quilt.

This class is limited to 4 students.

We will make:

1. A wonderful rag quilt with decorative stitching

6. felt and fabric for projects
7. Buttons
8. Snaps
9. Trim

Miss Jo

Miss Jo will help you keep yourself busy and entertained by sewing during the summer!   Just for Ages 8+ (must start with a pillowcase and zipper bag).  This fun club is an experiment of what you and your sewing friends can make that will inspire your mind and tickle your fingers!  A little bit of fabric, trim, thread and a LOT of imagination.   Throw in someone who can help you make that creation come to life!
