The Charming Circle Bag
This pattern contains instructions for 2 different sized bags. The first is a “Charming” tote and the second is a “Charming” quilt tote.
Using charm squares (5” squares) and a little lining fabric, create this “charming” tote. Use your decorative stitches to enhance the seams and make an interesting detail that people will want to look at.
Supplies for basic (regular) tote:
- Pattern will be supplied as part of your class fee FREE
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Recommended: ¼” piecing foot
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Scissors
- Rotary cutter/ruler/mat
- NEW 80 universal needle
- NEW 90 microtex needle
- Best Press or Flatter spray
- 40 weight polyester thread for construction
- 40 weight decorative threads for “decorative” accents
- 1 Large button for loop holder
- 4 Large buttons for base
- 12” trim for loop – we braided stretchy mask ear elastic.
Fabric for Regular bag:
1 Charm pack or (42) 5” x 5” squares
1 yard of coordinating fabric for straps and lining
1 yard fusible batting or soft & stable for straps & foundation of bag
Fabric for MONSTER (XXL) Bag
1 Charm pack or (42) 5” x 5” squares
1 ½ yard of coordinating fabric for straps and lining
1 ½ yard fusible batting for straps & foundation of bag
(2) pieces of cork 4” x 27 ½”
