Supplies:
- Rainbow 1/2 square triangles pattern included in class fee FREE
- Sewing machine in good working order
- ¼” piecing foot highly recommended
- NEW 75/11 Universal Needle
- Thread: 50 weight cotton thread – neutral thread complimentary to fabric
- Sewline Glue stick
- Frixion pen
- Pins and/or clips
- Quick Quarter Rulers (blue ruler pictured) or Omnigrid marking Ruler (set of 3 pictured)
- BlocLoc 4 ½” square ruler recommended for “shaving” (pictured) -or-
- 45mm Rotary cutter for “shaving” the blocks
- Self-healing cutting mat (rotary mat recommended)
- Iron with steam
- Best Press or Flatter
- Ironing surface
Fabric:

*Sample was made from batik prints & batik blenders of the following colors: Purple, magenta, pink, turquoise/teal blue, orange. Be sure to have varying shades and prints.
* If you are wanting a more neutral pallet, choose 5 colors in varying shades and values.
* WOF= Width of Fabric which can be 40”- 42”
o (4) charm packs totaling 156 Charm squares (5”x 5” squares) to your liking. Half of the charms need to be “lighter” and half “darker” values. Some should be print and some should read solid.
o Cut your own requirements:
(10) strips 5” x WOF of lighter value
(10) strips 5” x WOF of darker value
**You will need to SUBCUT each strip into 5” x 5” squares (result from each strip will be 8 squares)
o Fabric for small border (1/3 yard): Cut (8) 1 ½” x WOF strips for a finished 1” border.
o Fabric for larger border (1 yard): Cut (8) 3 ½” x WOF strips for a finished 3 ½” border.
