Door Banners Workshop
This is a DEDICATED time for you to get your door banners DONE!
(with assistance from someone who has stitched them!
Sign up for this workshop with a friend and have some social time as well!
Pick one of the "Door-Hangings" for a cute mini-wall or door hanging or join us any session to get help making these fun quilts!
Supplies needed:
- sewing machine in good working order with power cord & foot control
- 1/4" piecing foot recommended
- Walking foot recommended for quilting your piece
- Door hanging kit you want to work on
- 50 weight thread (light neutral)
- pins and/or clips
- Scissors
- Rotary cutter & ruler - mats are available in the classroom
- Iron and pressing mat - both available in the classroom
- Best press recommended
- For backing: Measure your finished piece and add 6 to length and width
- For batting: Same as backing
- For binding: We chose to wrap around bind some of these (in this case, your backing will become the binding). If you are doing a traditional batting, you will need 150" of 2 1/2" wide fabric - This would be 10" x WOF
- If you are making the entire quilt, you will need about 1 yard for borders. See picture
