Hidden-Hearts Embroidered Quilt top
The Hidden Hearts wall hanging is an original design by Carol Mancuso. This set of embroidery files is designed to be versatile for creating not only this 44 x 44 wall hanging, but table runners, or pillows, or even tote bags. The blocks, sashing, and corner stones are all quilted as you go. After the wall hanging is assembled, add backing fabric and stitch in the ditch to finish.
Supplies:
- Embroidery files – provided with the class
- Embroidery machine that can handle 6” x 6” embroidery field
- Fabric
- Background fabric – 1.25 yds
- Sashing fabric - .75 yds
- Applique fabrics – an assortment of coordinated fabrics
- Embroidery thread
- colors to coordinate with the applique fabrics
- color for quilting the blocks
- color for quilting the sashing
- Web mesh stabilizer
- Batting
- (36) – 8” x 8” squares
- (24) – 4” x14” rectangles
- (20)– 4” x 4” squares
- Steam-a-Seam 2 - lite
Possibilities:
You don’t have to do the wall hanging. These are some other ideas to entertain. In the first class we’ll plan out your project, pick the blocks you need to complete and get going on the embroidery. Your homework will be to complete the embroidery. Class 2 we’ll focus on assembly and finishing.
