2020 Lunchtime Lessons: Hand - Embroidery - temproaroily ostponed

Lessons are 1/2 hour. We will learn a new stitch each month. Practice swatch of fabric will be provided. There will be samples for you to see how stitch can be used.

We will provide a sample embroidery you can mark onto your own fabric and utilize the stitches. This would make a great sampler quilt.

NO CLUB IN DECEMBER!

Students should bring the following:

Hoop (6-10" hoop recommended: muslin wrapped wooden or interlocking plastic.)
tracing pencil/pen
Embroidery Hoop You may want a larger hoop for home projects
Small embroidery scissors
Needles: Embroidery sizes 8, 7, milliners sizes 3-7, and chenille sizes 18-22
Needle threader
An assortment of floss and threads - 6 strand embroidery, Aurifil 12 wt. Cotton)
Stitch guide Book (not required but highly recommended:A-Z Embroidery from Inspirations Magazine)
The Sewing Circle also carries a small pocket guide that is helpful (not required but highly recommended)
