    • After quilting, we can help you prepare it for binding. Just let us know you want help trimming! Batting ranges in price depending on size and type. We carry Cotton, Bamboo, Wool & Polyester (FatBat). Guidelines:
      • Make outside borders 1-2 inches larger
      • Backing and batting should be than your top size (so you have room to trim). We also need your back to be 4-6 inches larger (on each side) than the front of the quilt (for testing and “scooching” room). Total backing size should be 8-10 inches larger • If your backing must be pieced, please complete it before coming to quilt.
      • Please measure your quilt top width and length. Have the center top and bottom marked for both your quilt top and quilt backing.
      • We prefer to use the batting and thread we sell because it performs well on Bella. Others may be used; however, we can’t guarantee the quality of the results. Please inform us prior to your quilting date if you are going to use other type of batting than what we carry in the store.
      • Backing and Top should be squared prior to your appointment.
      • Please have your quilt top and backing pressed and ready to go. If your edges are irregular, they must be squared or basted to a neutral strip of fabric making a straight edge.
      • Plan for a FULL day of quilting and bring a lunch to take a break with us. Do not plan on leaving before your quilt is finished. If you need to leave, we will continue with the quilting, but at the staff quilting rate.
      • Don’t forget to bring a piece of fabric to embroider your label! If you have a question, please ask so we can help you create the quilt of your dreams! Please Remember: We will give you every consideration possible. Sometimes appointments will need to be changed for unforeseen maintenance issues with Bella. We will try to avoid this where possible, and your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated!
